Electrofusion products
Electrofusion products
Electrofusion refers to a manufacturing process in which a mixture is melted in an electric furnace and poured into a mold in a liquid state to be cured to achieve ceramic bonding.
SEFPRO places special emphasis on three basic properties that affect the use of fused products:
Degree of oxidation of the melt
The degree of oxidation has a strong influence on the compactness of the fused refractory product, the tendency to generate bubbles, the exudation of the glass phase, and the erosion resistance. The appropriate degree of oxidation depends on the melting process and proper control of the melting parameters in the furnace.
Density, bonding and uniformity of crystalline phase structure
The degree of oxidation-reduction of the casting liquid and the curing conditions strongly influence the quality of the crystal structure and the compactness of the fused refractory product. They determine the performance of the fused refractory product.
Shrink hole size and position
In order to achieve the best quality when the product is used, the shrinkage of the material must be strictly controlled during the curing process. They affect the uniformity of the product, the volume and locations of the shrinkage cavities, and the residual stress.
