At the meeting, representatives of the Waterproofing Association affirmed Saint-Gobain's recent announcement of the acquisition of GCP and further cooperation with Chinese waterproofing company Keshun Co., Ltd., which has brought great influence to the development of China's building materials and waterproofing industry.
On June 23, 2021, Saint-Gobain announced the establishment of Saint-Gobain Keshun High-tech Materials Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Chinese waterproofing technology company Keshun Co., Ltd., to deepen its long-term cooperation in the research and development, manufacturing and sales of integrated building material solutions, marking another solid step in the deployment of the Group's "Green and Sustainable Building" strategy.
Saint-Gobain Keshun High-tech Materials Co., Ltd. aims to provide waterproofing solutions based on polymer roofing systems to meet the growing demand for high-performance, low-carbon and environmentally friendly high-tech building materials in China.
Mr. Wang Huan, representative of Saint-Gobain Asia Pacific, introduced the entire Saint-Gobain Group and its businesses in the Asia-Pacific region, and described in detail the layout and development of Saint-Gobain Group in building materials and waterproofing sectors, and the two sides had in-depth exchanges on the development trend of the waterproofing industry this year. In the future, with the help of the China Building Waterproofing Association, it will promote the healthy and sustainable development of the industry. Following its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, Saint-Gobain is moving forward in a new path of action to protect the planet.
